This study sought to investigate the effect of staff development on organization performance at the Uganda Institute of Banking And Financial Services. The study focused on the following objectives; To examine the effect of training on the organization performance of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services, to find out the effects of coaching on the organization performance of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services and to investigate the effects of staff development on the organization performance of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services. The study used cross-sectional study design while using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. A sample of 136 respondents was selected using stratified random sampling and random sampling technique. Data was collected using survey and interview methods In conclusion Staff motivation has a positive effect on organizational performance of UIBFS. This was supported by majority of the respondents who agreed that; institute‟s staffs are motivated; the institute carries out periodic appraisals to staff; the motivation methods used by the institute are appreciated by staff; the services offered by the institute attract students. The Researcher finally recommends that the institute should continue with coaching because it is appreciated by the students. However, coaching sessions should be enhanced and better managed so as to benefit the students better. This study proposes that coaching sessions should be scheduled from the beginning of the academic year, well in advance and the sessions should be communicated to the students in time. The instructions on how coaching sessions are to be conducted should also be communicated in time
