This research work “The effect of office environment on the morale and productivity of secretaries in business’’ was carried out with the overall aim of finding out the study is to find out the effect of office environment on the morale and productivity of secretaries in KCCA was used as a case study. The data for this study was collected through the use of questionnaires and observation methods. The administered questionnaire was analyzed in tabular forms using simple percentages. The outcome of the study proved that the office environment plays a vital role in motivating employees to perform their assigned work. Since money is not a sufficient motivator in encouraging the work place performance required in today’s competitive business environment. Based on these findings the researcher recommended that the organization should have a good programme in place for their employees work balance and this can be a great factor to motivate and retain them. Management should try as much as possible to curb down the noise destructions at the work environment to be able to help employees work to increase productivity. Employers should make available adjustable and flexible furniture to all workers in order to make them more comfortable. This in the long run keeps the employees healthy.
